This Week's Digest: What I've Been Listening To

1) Boogie "Oh My":

"Oh My" is the first single from Boogie's upcoming album, The Reach. Oh My is produced by American Roc Nation hip hop record producer and rapper Jahlil Beats, who produced Boby Shmurda's "Hot Nigga."

2) Flying Lotus "Eyes Above (Remix)" feat. Kendrick Lamar:

The song is a remix of Eyes Above, from Flying Lotus' album "You're Dead!", Kendrick Lamar initially recorded a verse that Flying Lotus says "can't come out" in studio quality for "political reasons."

3) Tyler, The Creator "FUCKING YOUNG / PERFECT" feat. Charlie Wilson & Kali Uchis:

Produced by Tyler himself, Fucking Young / Perfect is the 10th track on his new album Cherry Bomb. "Fucking Young" is about Tyler falling in love with a girl who is six years younger than him. "Perfect" is a duet with Kali Uchis.

4) Towkio "Heaven Only Knows" feat. Chance The Rapper , Lido & Eryn Allen Kane:

This track is the 12th on Towkio's mixtape "Wav Theory." The track is positive and soulful which we have come to associate with the majority of the SAVEMONEY crew.

5) Jon Bellion "All Time Low":

Released after the psychedelic fiction "Woodstock", All Time Low is a track about one of Jon's lost lovers, and he admits some mistakes he's made.

This Week's Digest: What I've Been Listening To

1) Wiz Khalifa x Curren$y "Uber Driver":

The first song to be released from Wiz and Curren$y's upcoming project "#2009". #2009 will be the duo's third project together.

2) Vic Mensa "U Mad" feat. Kanye West:

U Mad is Vic Mensa's first single since 2014's "Down on My Luck", and he's enlisted the help of fellow Chicago rapper, Kanye West. This is the second time this year the two have officially collaborated this year, the other contribution being on West's "Wolves", which is said to be the first track on West's upcoming album, So Help Me God.

"Blow, don't sneeze, bitch shut up, don't breathe / Gasp, on the gas, 'til I crash, autopsy said that nigga mashed"

3) Oh Wonder - "Technicolour Beat" (Urban Contact Remix):

This song is a gentle mix of pop and soul, with an urban vibe. Oh Wonder's new album is expected to release in September 2015, with 13 tracks on it.

4) Krept & Konan "Certified" feat. Rick Ross:

This song is the preorder track on Krept & Konan's debut album, "A Long Way Home". With a release date of July 6th, the album is already at the top of the preorder chart on iTunes. The song sees the London duo team up with Rick Ross.

5) A$AP Rocky "M'$":

First heard as a snippet in Rocky's video for "Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (PFJII)," and premiered on April 8th 2015. The song discusses Flacko's fame, success and the perks which come with it.

This Week's Digest: What I've Been Listening To

Here are my top 5 songs which I've been listening to this week, plus several notable tracks of various genres worth a listen:

1)  Project Pat "Wanna Get High" feat. Joe Simpson:

This song was debuted by Project Pat, while gearing up to drop his new album, which has an April 14th release date. Joe Simpson sings a catchy hook while Pat explains his cravings and expresses his love for marijuana.

2) Pouya "Heed" feat. Allan Kingdom & Alex Wiley:

Pouya returns with a smooth and soulful new effort, accompanied by "Evergreens" rapper, Allan Kindom and "Vibration" artist, Alex Wiley. The track is part of Pouya's 18-track effort "South Side Slugs" which dropped earlier than the expected March 31st release date. The track's infectious melodies are not let down by the wordplay-rich lyrics.

"She musta thought he was a goldfish or something, she thought that he won't remember"

3) Earl Sweatshirt  & Action Bronson "Warlord Leather":

Released as a bonus track, shortly and separately after Earl's release of "I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside" and Action Bronson's "Mr. Wonderful" by The Alchemist. The track was used to commemorate the two releases.

4) Bodega Bamz "Bring Em Out" feat. Flatbush Zombies:

The second song on Bamz's first official LP release "Sidewalk Exec", accompanied by the Flatbush Zombie boys. The LP drops April 14th. Bring Em Out is a chilled but gritty record, it begins tamely with several piano notes, which should not be underestimated.

5) Skepta "Nasty":

After making a splash in the States due to his recent work with Kanye West, Skepta drops a diss to Devilman. Devilman lost a battle years ago to Skepta and has held a grudge ever since. In Nasty, Skepta pulls Devilman apart, accusing him of rapping like a crackhead and being a snitch, while also being jealous of Skepta's recent success. Skepta also includes some bars in Japanese, which is new.
